Muhammad Ali:Greatest Fighter

If you're going to do a sculpture of the greatest fighter to ever step foot in a boxing ring, you have to do it right. That's what artist and sculptor Michael Kalish and Oyler Wu Collaborative set out to do when they created a two-story sculpture of Muhammad Ali. However, this isn't your ordinary artwork. In fact, the piece is more than 13,000 speedbags suspended by two miles of cable according to Alissa Walker of GOOD. When you're right next to the work, it's impressive just to look at the technology used to suspend these speedbags from the metal structure, but when you step back and look at the whole piece, it's an amazing portrait of one of the most recognizable athletes in the history of mankind. The piece is currently being exhibited in Los Angeles, but the creators have much more planned for the fruits of their labor
