Ford is doing a fantastic job with its recent vehicles with a level of build quality that is starting to reach into the field of premium brands like Lexus and Audi.The starting price of the 2011 Ford Explorer will be $1,000 less than the existing model, or $28,995, Ford spokesman Jay Ward said in an e-mail today to the Free Press., the Explorer offers a standard fuel-efficient 3.5-liter V6 engine or a buyer can opt for even greater fuel economy with the 2.0-liter EcoBoost™ I-4 engine which delivers V6 power with four-cylinder fuel efficiency.
Ford will be offering two engines to start with for the Explorer. The biggest of the motors will be a 3.5L V6 engine that produces 290hp and 255 lb-ft of torque. The V6 uses Ti-VCT to optimize fuel economy.
