Indian people would say that they already won the cup by defeating arch rivlas Pakistan in what was a very professional performence by them which saw them winning the match by 29 runs and getting themselves a place in the final of the World Cup 2011.
Their opponents of the world Cup 2011 finals will be Sri Lanka who came to the final by defeating New Zealand in the group match and will be looking to win their 2nd World Cup title.
This is turning out to be a huge match as well as both these teams were the favourites to go all the way before the final. This is the match betwee two of the most inform teams with the bat and bowl, Sri lanka and India have won the world cup one each, in 1983 when under the captaincy of kapel Dev they went on to win the world cup in England while Sri Lanka won the world cup in 1996 in Lahore when Ranatunga guided them to the final and won the world cup against Australia in a very exciting match.
