The NY Yankees have enough budget to sign Cliff Lee in the team. But it turns out that Cliff Lee might be joining the Yankees much sooner.

Cliff Lee is scheduled to pitch against the Yankees at Safeco Field on Friday night, so a deal could be finalized quickly. The MLB 2010 nonwaiver trade deadline is on July 31.
