On Thursday,Apple began e-mailing refund to customers who had purchased iPhone 4 Bumpers from its online store. On Friday morning, it also released the iPhone 4 Case Program, a free iPhone app which allows iPhone 4 owners to place an order for a free case.If you’re having reception issues though, you’ll need to be patient as the app quotes a wait time of 3-5 weeks for delivery.Owners of other iPhones won’t be able to order a free case, as the app checks the IMEI number and serial number of the phone before you can order. This is likely to be why the app can’t be downloaded directly from an iPhone, but must be transferred over when connected to a PC or Mac via iTunes.
