Ford’s configurator allows you to build up your Explorer to the spec that you require. You can start with the base version in front-wheel drive at $28,190, right up to the top of the range 4WD Limited at $39,190. For the time being you can only opt for the 3.5-liter V6 models and you have to add the $805 delivery charge on.The base engine in the Explorer is Ford's 3.5-liter V-6, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, that produces 290 horsepower and 255 pound-feet of torque

A driver need only turn the console-mounted knob to the proper setting among snow, sand, mud and normal modes. This system also includes a hill descent mode
