Blackhawks Win Stanley Cup: The Longest Championship Drought In The NHL Is Over
The longest championship drought in the NHL is over. The Blackhawks won the best of 7 series in game 6. They beat the Flyers 4-2 in the series. This is the first Blackhawks cup in 49 years, so they weren't too upset about an extra few minutes in overtime.
The goal light never came on and watching on Tv, the officials and Flyers look extremely confused. The announcers didn’t even realize what was going on until Chicago’s bench emptied about 5 seconds later.
