The 2010 Rolls-Royce Ghost

The Ghost is a remarkably quick automobile, irrespective of size. But there are no paddle shifters, nor any gear selection beyond Drive and Reverse, and few will miss them. The intuitive eight-speed automatic is rarely caught flat-footed, able to fire off multiple downshifts in an eye-blink to harness the V12's prodigious output for swift passing maneuvers.The drive consisted of straight lines and slow turns, and it was comforting to know that the big car fit in the lanes. It also had all the tech from BMW, such as lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, heads-up display and all that. We barely pushed the big V12 motor, but the ride was quiet, floaty and comfortable.
